With the development of the sensor technology, the communication bus and the computer, how to apply those up-to-date technologies to the catenary inspection system, for improving its performance and reliability, now has become a new hot focus. And that is also the need for developing the next generation of the system at the background of heighten speed of National Railway.According to the specialty of the high-speed catenary' s parameters inspection system, the inspection principle and approach are given in the paper. And then, one available project of the system' s hardware and software designs are given and analyzed in this paper. In this project, some new technologies have been applied, such as photoelectric and fiber optic sensors, CAN bus and fiber communication, in order to improve the performance of the system. It is the first time that, the signals in low voltage environment have been directly processed by the main computer through a plus A/D functional card. Thus, the main computer directly process the speed signal so that it become the control center of the system. This can increase the reliability of the system, cut down the design work and reduce the time cost. In additional, some means have been applied to barrage jamming in the system, so that the system can work stably under the powerful electric field and powerful magnetic field.After running on the site, the system is proved to be practical, and can run at a speed of 200km/h. The method can be reference to the inspection system at a higher speed or other similar system.
