In West Development,road construction in permafrost area is very often obstructed by thaw and freeze coagulation of the frozen soil foundation.Ventiduct roadbed is a active cooling foundation to resist thaw,and much experience of application has been obtained.But the design method on old experience is not suitable to the Qinghai-Tibet railway with special frozen soil foundation.Much effort was made to drive the design method from tradition experience to the soil mechanic deterministical way.A systemetic numerical analysis was conducted to study the effectivity of the layout of the ventiducts on the frozen soil foundation.Basing on all of those,the "ANN Optimization Design System for Ventiduct Roadbed in Permafrost Area" was developed,and guided by inherence experience and computer assistant experience.The investigation and development can been outlined to follows.(1) Modeling of numerical analysis of frozen soil ventiduct roadbed by ANN(2) Developing the ANN Optimization design system for Ventiduct Roadbed in Permafrost Area(3) Defining of the sequel learning tactic of three layer BP network(4) Improvement on BP arithmetic in ANN module.
