Geometry parameters of piezocrystals and wedges in Ultrasonic Line Phased Arrays Transducer(ULPA) have important effects on Transducers performance. So far,there havent been issued papers about optimized design for geometry parameters of piezocrystals and wedges based on considering all kinds of factors. Therefore,a primary research and discuss on optimized design for geometry parameters of piezocrystals and wedges in ULPA were taken in this study.First,it was taken that a discuss about the effects of geometry parameters of each piezocrystal on direction parameters(main lobe width,side lobe amplitude,elimination of grating lobes),amplitude of ultrasonic pressure,element viberation pattern,mutual radiation among elements,efficient test regions,ability to keep accurate and near-field distance and so on. based on the direction of ultrasonic field in ULPA deduced by ourselves. In addition,on the base of integrating all kinds of factors,it was put forward that the principle and method for optimized design of geometry parameters of piezocrystals in ULPA transducer,and its design programme and interface were compiled.Later it was taken that the optimized design for geometry parameters of longitudinal and transverse array ULPA wedges,and the principles for the optimized design of wedges' angles and the distance from piezocrystal center along wedge surface to test surface were deduced.Finally according to the above mentioned results,two universal ULPA were made and their performance were tested. These results indicated that on the whole,the values of parameters,such as sensitivity of each element,center frequency,relative bandwidth and cross couplingamong near elements and so on,and their consistency all meet the ask of technique.
