| Traditional residential district iS the most characteristically and actively district in a city．With the acceleration of urbanization in recent years in China,people pay more and more attention t0 renewal of the traditional residential district,and the configuration renewal has been increasingly regarded as an organic part of urban renewal．Besides,academic fields involved are getting wider and wider,the configuration renewal of traditional residential district has become one of the research themes of urban renewal at the turn ofcentury． Based on combined researches on practices and theories of configuration renewal in traditional residential district both in west and China,and studies of the intemal relations among traditional residential district,city-gene and city-system,and analysises of the internal configuration of traditional residential district,this paper tries to establish a systemic means of the study from the evolution of city-gene,develoment of city,entropy of city,take in the theory system of city-gene,offer direction to the study of configuration renewal in traditional residential district． This paper falls into six chapters: Chapter I:Preface．This chapter expatiates on the goal,significance,contents,and related concepts ofthe paper,and puts forward working frame ofpaper research． Chapter II:Traditional residential district in city．Based on running back OVer the historical phases in the form and evolvement of some traditional residential districts, looking back the history of configuration renewal of traditional residential district in China,this chapter discusses the general situation and characters in the developing of configuration renewal in traditional residential district． Chapter III:City-gene．using for reference of theories of biology and energetics,taking in conceptions of gene and entropy,this chapter analyzes the essence characteristics of city-gene,the configuration attributes of city-system,and the internal relations among the city-gene and city-system,and entropy of city． Chapter VI:Traditional residential district configuration．Based on the preamble discussing,this chapter analyzes the traditional residential district configuration from city-gene and city-system,and open out the materializers of city-gene'S essence characteristic in the traditional residential district configuration． Chapter V:Study of the configuration renewal in traditional residential district。Based on theroies of city-gene,entropy of city etc,this chapter analyzes the relations between the renewal and the development of city,the renewal and the mode of city renewal,and SO 0n． Chapter IV:Exploration and practice of tow configuration renewal precepts in traditional residential district．Taking the traditional residential districts,East zhonghuamen in Nanjing,Xiatuwan in Chongqing,as examples,this chapter tests the feasibility of systematic theory about renewal precepts in traditional residential district configuration... |
