With rapid development of national economics and huge requirement electricity increasing in industry, safety production is important for power system, which has to be put into consideration for the protection of stream turbine. If the system can't be monitored correctly and timely, it will be caused the collapse of the whole system and bring a great loss of country's economy. Currently monitoring device for stream turbine can't meet the requirement, design of new intelligent real-time monitoring system is very impendency and important. Wuhan University of Technology, cooperated with Jiang Ying Power Meter Corporation, develops a microcomputer real-time monitoring system of 8000 series stream turbine.For the running safety of stream turbine, the article discusses the design of monitor, developing method, precautions etc. The paper outlines the situation, devolvement and application home and aboard in stream turbine, and also discusses the monitoring principles, circuit design of input and output channel and communication interface. The monitoring software system is designed with PIC microcomputer whose arithmetic is studied in the article. The software groups several scattered procedure into only one, which simplifies the development process and management for users. At the same time, factors and relative measure that may produce the interference in the intelligence system are analyzed. Furthermore, article introduces computer system software function, which stress on the method of real-time data monitoring and the detail procedure code. Finally, test method and experiment result are described.The intelligent monitoring system safely protects the running of stream turbine in site. At the same time, real-time monitoring software further increases the system's automation level, which is convenient for both technician and management. It is facility to mount and maintain, reliable to operate, and precise to detect. The monitoring software has abundant functions and kind interface.
