Dialing the working process of the level rudder hydraulic system in submarine, serious vibration and noise will be produced, which affects the submarine's combating capability. So, it is of great importance to reduce its vibration and noise. Research on vibration characteristic and vibration control of the hydraulic piping is carried in this paper. The system's operating condition and the main reasons for producing vibration and noise are analyzed. The theoretic analysis of the characteristic of piping vibration is carried out in this paper, and the mathematic model is established. Hermite insert function and finite element method, by means of Matlab software, are adopted to solve the high level partial differential equation. The natural frequency and vibration pattern of the pipeline are obtained. Each parameter affecting to its natural frequency and vibration characteristic is analyzed (such as the supporting stiffness coefficient, the supporting distance, the internal pressure and the velocity of fluid in the pipeline). Besides, a further study on natural frequency affected by velocity and pressure turbulent of fluid is given.Further, the technique measure of controlling piping vibration is studied, including the vibration insulation to pipe and surface treatment with damping material etc. Among them, the surface damping treatment is detailed. The calculation formula for structure damping exhausting factor of combined pipe is denoted. Structure exhausting factor of combined pipe treated by the damping material of SA-3 is obtained with the different temperature and damping layer thickness. The result indicates that the effect of mitigating vibration is obvious. In addition, The model experiment method is presented based on the similar theory and each parameter is also given here. It is useful to provide theory preparation for further experiment.
