The paper gives a general analysis of functional mechanism, design theory, characteristics, development course and peculiarities of various sorts of pre-stressed anchor technology and the up-to-date development of anchor methods and machinery according to the cases of the application of pre-stressed anchor rope pile wall and pre-stressed anchor rope and anchor shotcrctc in the construction of Yuhuai Railway and Taigan Expressway, in combination with the actual application of pre-stressed anchor rope wa.l 1 in the construction of DK626 + 283 "" 386 of Yuhuai Railway, the paper issues checking of forces, stability of pre-stressed anchor rope pile wall and the checking of the intensity safety of pre~stresses rope, also details the construction method, noticeable points in construct] (in, the measures of trea tment to special condition and cost analysis on pre-stressed rope pile wall construction. In addition, it analyzes the construction and cost of pre-stressed anchor rope grid beam and anchor shotcrete about its application in the construction at, K235-I820 of Taigan Expressway.In summarization, the paper demonstrates the advantages of the pre-stressed anchor rope on design mechanism, construction benefit and cost etc. through the contrasts of the above-said means and other traditional means in consolidation of high slope, reasons their characteristics and advantages through the contrasts of different measures in the consolidation of high stiff slope, that is, the pre-stressed anchor rope grid beam requires the lowest cost of unit anchor, the pre-stressed anchor rope pile wall brings the minimum damage to the natural massif and the anchor shotcrete protection with net only suits those slopes with complete lithofacies with fine drainage system necessary. In addition, through the comparison and analysis of the actually-measured extensive amount and the theoretic amount a conclusion is drawn that it is the tensioning allowance when the actually-measured amount exceeds 5%~10% of the theoretic; in according the data record of GMS ergometer, the paper also gives an analysis of the pre~stress lossof the anchor rope aft.or tensioned and another conclusion is drawn that in construction 10% over-tension ing is enough to compensate the lost pre-stress. These two conclusions are expected to give some reference to the design and construction of pre-stressed anchor rope.
