The Study On Spark Ignition Engines Fueled With Variable Components Of Coal-bed Gas

The coal-bed gas is the one kind low pollution energy, and its major composition is methane, a small amount heavy hydrocarbon and some non- hydrocarbon gas bodies (such as nitrogen gas, the carbon dioxide etc). It does not have the component of sulphide and soot, so it does not give rise to smoke and dust and sulphide gas when burning.The coal-bed gas contains many kinds of heavy hydrocarbon gas bodies and the non- hydrocarbon gas, which possesses the characteristic of variable component. If the nature gas engines are fueled with the coal-bed gas directly, they will work abnormally. How to solve these questions, especially, the coal-bed gas competent change and the change of the concentration of the methane brings unfavorably influences to the performance character and the emission character in the spark ignition engine, is a new research subject. Now, this paper is a trial of this aspect.This paper introduces the reequipped design of the engine of S195, and the design of equipment of model coal-bed gas. In order to realize the programs, an data-collected system of oscilloscope of TS3000 and micro-controlled is designed.After the study of experiment, the coal-bed gas engine can be fueled with variable components of coal-bed gas. Furthermore, it can work stably and can be ignited easily. The testing tells us the engine is suitable to be fuelled with the coal-bed gas.
