With the developing of the long -distance system foundation of the high voltage power web and the huge generator groups used in power system, how to keep the power system in a stable and reliable state is an essential problem. As the generator excitation system has the important function to the safe and the economic of the power system, this paper puts stress upon the control method of the excitation system and compares the results of the several methods.The main work and the research results are:1. Applying the hardware to realize the simulation system that most like the real one.2. It can make many simulations on this excitation system.3. A new control method 梚s proposed and realized it on software.This paper used the Visual Basic to compile the excitation system, and it can simulate sixth different conditions of the power system. Using two AD/DA card to construct the system, it is directly and is easy for us to realize the real excitation system.As the traditional PID excitation controller can not adjust the parameter on line, and it needs the math model precisely. This paper presents a method for generator excitation system by combining fuzzy control and PID control theory. It can adjust the parameter on line and has the good control result of controlling the delay, time-changed , nonlinear system .Digital simulating result for a single machine-infinite bus power systemIIshow that the dynamic quality of the system is effectively improved by usingFuzzy-PID.
