The deformation situation of scouring and sedimentation in reservoir have a direct impact on the reservoir's lifespan, and even threat to the safety of the darn, while affect whether the reservoir can make full use of expecting multi-efficiency.In this paper, the deposition evolution process in QTX reservoir are studied, the incoming water and sediment, the operation data, and the time and space distribution of longitudinal and lateral sedimentation in reservoir are analyzed in detail, and the longitudinal scouring and sedimentation and lateral deformation law in reservoir tidal flat and mainstream under different operation way are summarized in every operation period. Based on the hydrodynamic theory, the riverbed deformation process of all reservoir area during long duration is investigated by using of computer numerical simulation. In the meantime, based on one dimensional sediment model, the simulation of the longitudinal scouring and sedimentation and lateral deformation in reservoir tidal flat and mainstream are researched. The quasi-two dimensional sediment numerical model forecasting longitudinal scouring and sedimentation and lateral deformation in reservoir and river are established. The comparison between the experimental data with numerical simulation show that the model have a higher precision in the lateral scouring and sedimentation deformation, time interval quantity of deposition, and output sediment concentration process during sand peak at various cross section and is applied fairly good to practical engineering.At last, the scouring and sedimentation process of QTX reservoir at different operation way are calculated and forecasted by using of this model, theproblems existing on operation way are pointed out, and the optimum adjusting water and sediment operation way in the future are put forward. The achievements are of important significance for the operation management of Silt-carrying River and reservoir.
