Multi-rhombus Plug-in Steel Tube is a new type of power transmission tower. In this thesis, optimization in structure of this type of tower was investigated. By analyzing structure mathematical model which has solved by optimization method of mixed discrete variable (MDOD) of steel pole was built., and corresponding computer program TowOpt worked out to optimize a steel tube .The conclusion that can be referenced by engineering design.
