The emerging of power market is a new challenge to the traditional energy management system. Facing the power market, the generating scheduling software, as a core of operation plan package, needs to re-designed and improved so as to provide better services for power market management, and safe and economic operation of power system.This paper, based on the power system reality, is focused on the study of economic dispatching. The mathematics model and a practical calculating method for daily power generation schedule are presented. It is in accordance with the economical principles during the transient period of current electric power market. To ensure the basic generation of every power plant, a practical sorting method is introduced to find the unit commitment and the economical distribution of load. At the mean time, a software package to draw daily generating scheduling is developed, based on Windows 98 operating system. The software package is provided with a friend man-machine interface and is excellent at both calculating capacity and processing speed.Zhao Ying (Power System and its Automation)Directed by Prof. Li Gengyin...
