The power generation characteristics, the flow field hydromechanical characteristics in natural wind field and the generators power output characteristics of the 600W concentrated wind energy turbine are investigated through experimental study. The result of experimental study shows that the wind concentrating device of this turbine enhances the wind speed on the plane where the turbine blade is installed inside the wind concentrating device to 1.367 times the natural wind speed and increases the theoretical wind energy flow density to 2.55 times the one in natural wind field. The said turbine set is able to establish a voltage to charge battery when the natural wind speed is 3.80m/s, generate a rated output power when the natural wind speed is 8.20m/s, make the blade speed reach to rated value and the power output be 794.08W which is 1.33 times the one of an optimum ordinary wind turbine with an identical blade assembly when the natural wind speed is 9.42m1s and produce the maximum output power when the natural wind speed is 11 .40m/s and then with the wind speed being increased further, the turbine set restricts the blade speed automatically and causes the output power to drop down. The turbine set runs securely, the guiding function of its is smooth and the noise is low. The Rotor Power coefficient of this turbine set is 0.598 and the efficiency of the complete turbine set is 0.454.
