Accident statistics showed that traffic accidents caused by drivers is the main reason. Attention characteristics of drivers are the main influencing factors of driving safety.The attention characteristics of drivers is mainly manifested in the driver’s viewing time of risk. The risk attracts the attention of driver means it influences the driving safety.During the driving,a variety of forms of the risks exists,the driver needs to pay attention to the impact of these risks on traffic safety.Therefore,it is significant to study the driver’s attention impacts on traffic safety under the multi-risk traffic situations to reduce traffic accidents caused by drivers ignoring road environment risks. Specific contents are as follows:1.Analyzed driver’s attention characteristics from the breadth of attention and the behavior of gaze, shows that the driver’s attention have a direct impact on traffic safety. Analyzed drivers’psychological field scope, field and equipotential lines under multi-risk scenarios combined with psychological field theory and method, constructed the driver’s psychological field strength model, which lays theoretical foundation for building Risk Gravity Model.2.Construct the Risk Gravity Model. Analyzed drivers’attention characteristics in the role of risk target from both feature of the driver attributes and risk attribute combined with psychological field theory and the law of gravity to build driver’s Risk Gravity Model. Risk Gravity Model indicated that the main factors affecting the risk of gravity are:driver’s character, speed, risk properties, the distance and angle between the drivers and risk. With the risk gravity model to objectively analyze the driver’s attention characteristics and risk impact on driving traffic that in multi-risk traffic scenarios.3.Risk Gravity Model was verified. Using virtual scene modeling software "VSDesign" to design three different experimental simulation of multi-risk scenarios, recruit drivers to participate in simulation experiments, to get experimental data under different risk scenarios, using comparative analysis methods to analysis driving simulation data of skilled and unskilled drivers, get the conclusion that the risk has a gravitational effect on the driver, and a skilled driver’s risk gravity is less than unskilled driver’s, in order to verify the feasibility and rationality of risk gravity.4.Using Risk Gravity Model to analysis typical multi-risk scenarios, shows that the gravitational effect of motive risk gravity on the driver are greater than the stationary risk gravity; and the closer the risk to the main car the more great the gravitational effect is harmful to driving safety. The greater risk gravity has greater influence on the driving. Proposed improvement measures of Traffic Engineer against the greater risk gravity object to reduce traffic accidents caused by multiple risk and improve traffic safety.
