With the development of weapon system, people’s demand for the performance of weapon system is becoming higher and higher. Velocity, acceleration and other motion parameters, which are the important indicators used to measure the characteristics of the weapon, the characteristics of the ammunition and the ballistic characteristics, are widely used in the research of weapon system. So the research and development of measurement system of interior and exterior ballistics bullet’s motion parameters has very important significance for development of weapon system and development of ballistics theory. In order to meet such requirement, this article designed and implemented the measurement radar terminal system of interior and exterior ballistics bullet’s motion parameters based on the theory of microwave interference.This paper presented a method of measuring the bullet’s motion parameters based on virtual instrument technology. This paper took PXI-3950 processing board and PXI-9826 data acquisition board as the core to build the system hardware platform, and used LabVIEW as software development platform, completed the system signal processing and acquisition hardware circuit design, interior ballistics time-frequency analysis and processing, exterior ballistics power spectrum estimation, friendly man-machine display interface programming design, and tested and analysised the system performance, to verify the validity and reliability of the system.In order to measure the parameters of XXX weapon’s bullet in flight motion, based on the analysis of interior and exterior ballistics’ echo signal model, this topic processed interior ballistic signal using time-frequency analysis method, and used thresholds method and front-end fitting method to optimize acquired instantaneous frequency estimates. The power spectrum estimation method is used to process the exterior ballistics’ signal, and the outlier’s frequency estimated is removed by using tracking method. This topic transformed the frequency after processing, accordingly obtained the motion parameters of the bullet.
