Vibration control of building structure is a new seismic design concept Magnetorheological Fluid Dampers(MRFD) is a kind of new damping device which have the advantages of easily controlled, favorable damping effect, small volume, fast response and have a broad application prospect in civil engineering. Therefore, it has important engineering application value for the research of control algorithm about structure with magnetorheological fluid dampers.The main research results include the following aspects:(1) A shear-valve MRFD damper which has a maximum output of 20kN and a maximum stroke of 260mm is developed in this paper. And test related performance parameters.(2) Through the integration of genetic algorithm and ant colony Algorithm, proposed a control strategy based on genetic ant colony optimization algorithm for the vibration control of magnetorheological damper is proposed.And study the control effect by Matlab/Simulink.(3) A 10 story frame reinforced concrete structure is studied by numerical simulation, and both the displacements and accelerations at the floors of the structure without the control, with the fuzzy control, with the genetic ant colony optimization algorithm semi-active control and with the optimized fuzzy control by genetic ant colony optimization algorithm are analyzed under the actions of frequet and rare earthquakes. The results show that the damping effect of the optimized fuzzy control by genetic ant colony optimization algorithm is the best.(4) Optimize the arrangement of the structure of magnetorheological damper.Propose a quadratic performance index based on genetic ant colony optimization algorithm,and determine the layout scheme optimization.The simulation results show that the vibration control effect of the proposed scheme is better than that of the optimal performance index increment.
