As our country makes great efforts to develop marine enterprise, shipping industry is also developing in large-scale, high-technology content direction. As an important part of related equipment of ship, anchor winch plays a key role in the safe operation of the ship. The traditional product design mainly considers the static strength of components, but in order to meet the requirements of modern product design, fatigue life needs to be considered as an important criterion for product design, and the fatigue damage of the product during the service period should be accurately predicted.The research object is anchor winch and it uses software to carry out the failure analysis of key parts of the main shaft and roller of the winch. The main research content is as follows: firstly, use the theory of modern mechanics to analyze the stress of the main shaft under different working conditions is, then determine the stress distribution and the maximum stress position of the main shaft under different working conditions, and use the Euler formula and linearly decreasing formula to analyze the stress of cylinder under the action of mono-layer and multi-layer cable, and get the load value of the plates under the action of multi-layer cable. Secondly, establish the multi-body dynamics model of the mooring winch and get the rigid flexible coupling model of the mooring winch by softening main shaft, then get the load time history curve of the main shaft through simulation analysis of the four working conditions of mooring winch.Thirdly, build the finite element model of the main shaft and the roller, then static finite element analysis of the main shaft and roller under different working conditions are carried out in accordance with the working load and support load. It can obtain the stress and strain distribution of the main shaft and the roller. Through the experiment, the force law of roller could be concluded. According to the thin shell theory, we can analyze the stability of the roller, and get buckling critical load of roller. Finally, based on nominal stress method. The S-N curve of the material is determined by theoretical formula. Statistical analysis of the multi-body simulation is loaded by using the rain flow counting method, and combined Miner linear cumulative damage method. Accomplish the fatigue life prediction in nCode Design Life and determine the main shaft and roller fatigue hazard area.
