A Study On The "Transboundary" Phenomenon Of Architecture In The Perspective Of Multiculturalism

The current economic crisis and the ensuing political and social unrest have exacerbated the problems existed all along in construction, which is the construction has been challenged by other professional and cultural conservatism and it’s facing the risk of losing its value as one of the excellence visual arts. “Transgression” has opens up the new possibilities for architectural practice. It continuously promoted the center of construction by activity in the "boundary" of architectural practice in order to put forward a new definition of architecture with a new angle of view.In the past twenty years, all kinds of transgressive practice appeared around the world.From occupation action to open source construction, from temporary design to informal settlement and from smart city to community cooperation etc., all these architectural practices have exceeded the established boundaries and accepted code of conduct, which incite us to rethink the understanding of construction. “Transgression” seems to have become a collective phenomenon of contemporary architectural practice.Based on multicultural background, the paper tried to analyze the reason of the appearance of “transgression” phenomenon of architecture from a macro perspective and multiple aspects’ embodiment “transgression” consciousness has during the process of architectural practice in the process so as to grasp the characteristics and development trends of contemporary practice. The paper is divided into two parts and the first part is the theory construction of “transgression” concept in architecture. First it explained the basic concept of“transgression” and then it carried out the in-depth analysis on the philosophical reasons of“transgression” concept and the concept of “transgression” within the scope of architecture.The paper also carded and constructed a development context of “transgression” theory from philosophical concepts to architectural concept. The second part is the architectural projects research on “transgression”. The paper researched and analyzed architectural case to understand their ways and process of “transgression” from the four aspects of the construction practice, including "design intent", "social role", "practice process" and “results presenting”.
