| Under the principle of the people-oriented,functionality,economy,biological diversity, ecological adaptability, artistry, an Mediterranean style landscape were designed for longya Leisure Manor in Deyang city,witch has warm and a little arid climate, calcareous purple soil, and sloping topography, combining with owners’ landscape needs of the hydrophilic, entertainment, leisure and fitness, designing an Mediterranean style landscape witch is in harmony with the architectural style and the crop areas for participatory, and then the appropriate plant design was made. The main results were summarized as follows:(1) Set five major functional areas in the total field. There are the entrance landscape area, the villa area, the sports and fitness area, the ecological recreation area and crop areas. Entrance landscape area includes the entrance door, the paddy field landscape, the wetland landscape and other attractions; villa area is mainly composed of a housing, ecological parking lot, outdoor water platform etc; sports and fitness area is mainly including clubs, swimming pool, basketball court and other facilities; ecological recreation area is mainly composed of gallery frame, lotus pond, colorful flower border, etc.(2) According to the characteristics of Mediterranean style in the aspect of slope, courtyard, material, color, water feature, plants, through the Mediterranean-style comedy and materials, such as wrought iron gates, pottery, fired brick, mosaic parquet, he Mediterranean style is exhibited in the landscape; through using different paving materials, such as wood, pebbles, local stone, design out a form of diversification, humane road system;design a hydrophilic outdoor deck, boardwalk, a participatory rice paddies, crop planting area, swimming pool with privacy to meet the people’s needs of psychological involved in and practical to reach the design principles of "people-oriented"; contact the landscape with a unified style of comedy, structures, reservoirs, road and so on as a whole; With the site topography, using local materials, and retaining the original plant reflect the economic principle.(3) Select the 56 kinds of garden plants (excluding garden plant varieties),which can grow in the local and have good appreciation, including 25 species of trees,19 kinds of shrubs and ground cover plants,3 kinds of vertical greening plants,9 kinds of aquatic plants, these plants are mainly native plants and have good adaptability. Trees have Bauhinia purpurea, Ginkgo biloba, Ligustrum lucidum,etc. Shrubs have Ligustrum × vicaryi,Berberis thunbergii var.atropurpurea, Nandina domes tica, etc. Ground cover plants have Iris tectorum, Canna indic, Dichondra micrantha, etc.Vertical greening plants have Wisteria sinensis,Jasminum nudiflorum,etc.Aquatic plant have Thalia dealbata,Pontederia cordat,Cyperus alternifolius subsp. flaelliformis, etc.(4)Selecting Ligustrum lucidum, Koelreuteria paniculata,Ginkgo biloba as a keynote species and Cedrus deodara, Sophora japonica, Salix babylonica as a backbone species, using a variety of plant configuration mode, such as trees-shrubs-ground cover plants, trees-shrubs-grass,trees-shrubs and so on,creating one landscape which is full of significant seasonal changes, rich layers, space diversity and artistic conception by chosing the flowering plants which have different florescence, color, such as Magnolia denudate, Sophora xanthantha, Lagerstroemia indica, combined with foliage plant, fruit-effect plant, using the principle of aesthetics.
