It is a breakthrough in closed-packed ball bearing used in space environment. Unlike used on the ground machine,the closed-packed ball bearing is designed with gap,which is used to a large temperature and vacuum environment.Ensure the axis system operats flexibility under the premise of both rotating accuracy and long life.Based on the previous researches,this paper undertook a research on closed-packed ball bearing used in space environment and established the design boundaries of radial gap model, considering external forces and space environment.One of them, the deformation of the axis system is used as the lower boundary and the rotating accuracy and stress condition is used as the upper boundary.Main content:(1)The analysis model is established between radial gap and rotation accuracy with the independent variables of gap;(2)With the environment operating condition, the model for the closed-packed ball bearing system and its units is established between internal contact load and gap.The axis system’s stress and deformation condition are solvered by Newton’s iteration method,through the establishment of balance between load and deformation equations;(3)Study on the axis systerm’sdeformation with Hertz contact theory and the theory of heat denature-tion;(4)Buliding test platform for test and verification.The result show that:(1)When the axial gap is eliminated,different loads have a great influence on load distribution and contact stress;(2)There is an approximate linear relationship between rotation accuracy and axis system gap.
