Bamboo,which has high tensile strength,good toughness and short growing period,ecological and environmental protection,and the advantages of recycling, is a kind of better green construction material with properties of renewable.Bamboo is used in construction structure in our country with a long history.However, due to various disadvantages, such as the material is not homogeneous, durability is poor,and it is difficult to connect nodes, which is influence of its widespread use, and the research and application of the bamboo structure is stagnant. In this paper,Phyllostachys parvifolia and phyllostachys pubescens as the research object, it uses the method of experimental study and finite element analysis to study the stability bearing capacity of bamboo arch structure.The arch structure is subjected to axial pressure curve structure,which maintain the balance by both ends of the thrust. It is widely used in large span space structure because of good stiffness and better bearing capacity of this structure in the full span load. We study on stability bearing capacity of the five bamboo arch with steel carbon fiber composite joints.Steel carbon fiber composite joints,which has a lot of advantages,such as good integrity, high reliability of the connection, simple structure,was used in bamboo arch structure. It ensure that the node does not destroy before structural damage.Bamboo arch structure happens the antisymmetric instability under external loads in the test. In order to improve the stability bearing capacity of bamboo arch structure,we design cable arch structure. Compared with the pure arch structure, the stability bearing capacity of cable arch structure is greatly improved, so the existence of the cable can effectively control the deformation of the arch. Experimental study of compressive strength and tensile strength, which can obtain the tensile strength,compressive strength and Poisson’s ratio, provide mechanical parameters for finite element analysis. We carried out nonlinear finite element analysis of the test model, compared with the experimental results, proved the rationality and applicability of the model test.The results of the study show that the stability bearing capacity of bamboo arch structure with Phyllostachys parvifolia is roughly equal to the stability bearing capacity of bamboo arch structure with phyllostachys pubescens. However, the cable arch structure with Phyllostachys parvifolia lacks of capacity due to the damage of single member, and arch structure with phyllostachys pubescens does not generate section strength failure.So The anti splitting failure ability of Phyllostachys parvifolia is stronger than phyllostachys pubescens. The existence of cable arch structure can effectively control the deformation of the arch..Compared with the stability bearing capacity of pure arch structure, the stability bearing capacity of cable arch structure is increased by about 50%.This study can prove that steel carbon fiber composite joints is applicable to bamboo arch structure.There is the certain capacity of the arch structure with this kind of joint. It can be applied to the tourism landscape,which has a certain span but lower stress on buildings and structures.
