| Yunnan red-layer area is one of the geomorphologic divisions of Yunnan, which lies in the middle of Yunnan. The Mesozoic red strata, among which plenty of dams are dotted like stars, are widely distributed in this region. This part is also one of the areas that have the most basins. The special geographical environment conditions contribute to the low precipitation in this region. The foehn effect exists in Some River valleys, which aggravated the drought in the area. The unique and fragile geographical environment as well as the unreasonable land utilization type made the ecological environment worse and worse. Therefore, it’s urgent for this region to find a balanced agricultural production mode which can both make the great use of the agricultural environment and resources to generate immense economic value and maintain the regional ecological balance. One possible mode is to develop the scenery configuration of the red-bed, science it can maintain the regional ecological balance and increase the tourism attraction of it as well, which will definitely provide a new road for the agricultural development of the central region in Yunnan province.This paper concentrates on the red-bed are, by dint of the relative data in the branch project called Yunnan Cities and Towns Geographical Environment System Background Research of the major project called Yunnan Cities and Towns Geographical Environment Research Supported By Interdisciplinary High Technology, combines the data with the geographical environment characteristics of the central region of Yunnan province to divide the red-bed area into the dry-hot valleys area and the original on the circular mound altar area. The thesis takes advantage of the major basins’ data concluded from the slope is less than 8 ° and covers an area of more than 10 square kilometers of the ground by DEM of Yunnan province in ArcGis software, considering the geographical environment area of the central region of Yunnan province as the basis to divide the main basins in this area into two types: Jinsha river and Yuanjiang hot dry valley basin and the circular mound altar basin. From the perspective of landscape ecology, It analyses the landscape types, structure and function of different type of the basin, and puts forward some ideas of various types of basin landscape pattern, so to obtain the landscape pattern of ecological security pattern. The paper is based on the landscape pattern and analyses and concludes the agricultural landscape configuration mode of the red-bed area in central region of Yunnan province from the angle of landscape form aesthetics and landscape artistic conception flow.The features of each kind of basin and the subclass systematic agricultural landscape pattern are different, hence it’s necessary to analyze the current situations of each kind of basin’s agricultural landscape elements and use the ultimate principle of the landscape pattern to gain the security landscape patterns of different landscape systems. The general structure of Jingshanjiang and Yuanjiang hot dry valley basin is symmetrical banded structure, its subclass landscape security pattern: river terrace — its galleries are road network, river and vegetation buffer zone. It is a from-line-to-earth landscape layout pattern. The gentle slope belt in valley basin — its landscape patch is slope cropland, shrub land and settlement. The well-distributed landscape pattern’s galleries are roadway and channel. The gentle slope belt in valley basin — takes the slope cropland and grassland as its plaque. The parallel landscape pattern’s matrix is the parallel distribution of the scrubland along the ridgeline. The general structure of the original slow mound basin is concentric annular structure, its subclass landscape security pattern: gentle dam area —The Plaque — Gallery — Landscape Pattern formed by the settlement, protection forest network and cropland. The piedmont at the edge of the basin area — The Belting Landscape Pattern is formed by settlement area, slope cropland area and shrub land area.The hillside at the edge of the basin area — its main matrix is shrubwood. The natural mountain landscape pattern’s plaque is grassland. Basing on various types of basins and the landscape system ecological security pattern, try to apply the beauty of landscape to the disposition of basin agricultural landscape. Jingshanjiang and Yuanjiang hot dry valley basin’s agricultural landscape formal beauty mainly focus on the characteristic of symmetrical banded structure, taking the curved line if rivers as the major principle, trying to form the combination of the complanate beauty of the rivers’ terrace and cubic beauty of the high and steep mountain along the rivers. The agricultural landscape configuration mode is: the curving terrace — the colorful slope land — the green steep hill. The agricultural disposition of the original slow mound basin mainly focus on the structural characteristic — Concentric annular structure. Trying to form such a beautiful agricultural landscape pattern, which is colorful, polytonality in line and full of plaque and surrounded by the primitive environment — the long forest, the square farmland, the colorful patches and the picture patches.
