| With the progress of society, most of countries pay more attention to the traffic safety. The active safety technologies which can avoid the accident are becoming more and more important. Adaptive Cruise Control research is becoming one of the hot in the field of active safety research at home and abroad. The depth study of automotive Cruise Control is important to reduce the accident rate, to reduce property losses, and to promote the development of intelligent transportation.First of all, it expounds the structure and working principle of the Adaptive Cruise Control system and a general designing plan of hierarchy system. In this paper, a vehicle model based on parameter setting of Carsim, the strategy of ACC model and an inverse dynamics model of vehicles which calculates the expected throttle valve and the expected brake pressure is established. So it forms a closed-loop simulation platform of ACC system.Taking the vehicle ACC system as the research object, this paper studied respectively the spacing strategy and control algorithm, which combined with the linear quadratic. Improving the control characteristic of linear quadratic which is applied in ACC system; Optimizing the compatibility of ACC system through comparing different algorithm; Taking consideration to time headway and velocity, it shows a new switching strategy of ACC/CC.According to the function requirement of automotive following, the paper has designed different upper controller respectively, and has made some joint simulations by Matlab and CarSim in order to verify the accuracy of the algorithms presented above. The Simulation results show that the model and the algorithms meet the requirements for vehicle-following, which can provide reference for the related research. |
