Water injection pump is the important equipment in oilfield water injection system, AC motor is widely used to provide power for the current domestic oilfield water injection assembly. High starting torque,large load range, wide speed regulation, frequent start and stop are special nature of water injection pump, and the matching motor have more capacity and large starting current, which leads to low motor efficiency and increases energy consumption. How to make it work in high efficiency is a problem we have to solve. It is of great important in both reduce the cost of oil exploitation and improve production efficiency. Switched reluctance motor(SRM) is a new force suddenly rises in the field of electric drive for its simple structure, reliable function, high efficiency and wide speed adjustable range. In this article, a research on SRM speed regulation system, which is based on practical scientific project, is used in water injection pump and get good results.Firstly, the basic structure and operating principle of Switched reluctance motor is introduced. On the basis of the SRM linear model, the SRM dynamic mathematical model is established and the traditional control strategy such as the angle position control is introduced, furthermore, the impacts of position detection accuracy on motor function performance is analyzed and a position detecting scheme which is suitable for SRD system is designed.Secondly, because of the characteristic such as strong coupling, nonlinear and multi-control parameter of SRM, the Direct Torque Control strategy with high dynamic speed regulation performance is adopted to the control system. The simulation of DTC strategy and traditional current chopping control strategy is done on the MATLAB/Simulink platform, then the matching simulation between water injection pump and two control strategies of SRM is respectively conducted.The simulation result shows that the DTC strategy can better suppress the torque impulses and the rotate speed fall of the motor and better match the water injection pump, which provide the theory foundation for the following software and hardware design.Thirdly, the TMS320F2812control chip of TI is selected as the core to complete the software and hardware design. Position detection circuit, power conversion circuit, the stator phase voltages and currents detection circuit, driving circuit and the auxiliary power circuits is included in the hardware design. On the basis of hardware design, the system main program, initialization subprogram, interrupt service subprogram and DTC subprogram is completed.Finally, Switched Reluctance Drive experimental platform is built, then operational performance and energy saving experiment of switched reluctance motor which simulate the actual operating conditions is carried out on the experimental platform.From the result of the experimental data analysis, we can conclude that the SRM system is better than AC speed regulation system in working efficiency and energy saving on water injection assembly.
