As the relationship between the automobile and the human becomes increasingly inseparable, its overall design tends to humanization and Individualization. The functions and concepts of automobile bumper, which only acted as protecting automobiles in the past, now develop to various aspects, such as Auto Body Aesthetics, Integral Decoration Coordination, the decrease of Wind Drag Coefficient, and the lift of driving maneuverability as well. Plastic bumpers has occupied a share in the automobile industry, owing to its superiorities as follow:its beautiful shape, light weight, easy molding, resistance abrasion, low cost and good integrated Mechanical properties. What’s more, the most important point is that it is easy for us to realize large-scale productions. However, Plastic bumpers may encounter quality problems in the process of injection molding, such as war page.This essay mainly deals with the following parts:1. Simulation, analysis and Verification in the Automobile bumper stamping processMake use of moldflow to simulate how plastic melt flow, hold pressure and cool. In this process, we can stimulate, analyze and verify possible defects such as contraction, warping and weld mark.2. Factors affecting the formation of war page and corresponding research methods.Factors affecting warping are as follows:Material properties, the structure of plastic parts, mold design and craft parameter etc. To study war page of plastic parts using product design methodology, is actually applying engineering optimization design method to plastic injection industry. That is, we regard the main factors affecting war page as design variable, with a minimum of distortion as the target of optimization. Thus, the product geometry or the craft conditions of injection molding were optimized.3. Simulation, analysis and optimization of moldflow.This study takes a plastic bumper as a research object, which is prone to have war page in the production. Take this as an entry point, using moldflow stimulation and analysis, meanwhile combined with optimization algorithm, we has improved mold Gating system, and optimized craft parameter. As a result, we manage to deal with war page, and will finally improve product quality and production efficiency.
