Abstract/Summary:
Gas explosion accidents occur from time to time all over the world. It not only bring enormous loss to the safety of people and property, but also cause damage to the surrounding facilities. In order to strengthen the engineering facilities of the explosion effect of protective ability, we need to study the flammable gas cloud explosion rules.This paper mainly used the method of numerical simulation to simulate the process of vapor cloud explosion, discusses the unconfined vapor cloud explosion rules and analyse the response and failure characteristics of concrete structure of vapor cloud explosion dynamic. The following results have been achieved:1. The significant differences between the vapor cloud explosion and the solid explosion is discussed:compared wih the solid explosion, the explosion pressure decreases, but the pressure continues for a long time at the vapor cloud explosion. Therefore, the harm of overpressure impulse criterion is chose to evaluate the vapor cloud explosion.2. The distribution of the gas cloud explosion field is researched by simulation the process of vapor cloud explosion with numerical software. To discuss the effect of several influence factors on the strength of gas cloud explosion, this paper designs an orthogonal experiment. According to the calculation results, the distribution law of the gas cloud explosion field is fitted. This paper also has a preliminary discussion on the closed space gas cloud explosion rules.3. The dynamic response and failure characteristics of the reinforced concrete structure in the gas cloud explosion is researched with a gas workshop as an example. First of all, the circumferential crack occurs in the back surface of the explosion with the large explosion load on the center of the wall. Then stress concentration will occur in the corner of the structure as the crack extension to support. Finally, more positions of the structure will be destroyed until the structure of completely failed.
