Continuous rigid frame aqueduct has the advantages of long span, reasonable force distribution, and strong adaptability ect. It has become the prefered choice in the area of Water conservancy project.Continuous rigid frame aqueduct as a lifeline engineering plays an important role in the drought region.Because of the long span, the high piers with different heights, its dynamic characteristics is also complicated.Currently, the design codes can not meet this type aqueduct seismic design requirements,so the study on seismic performance of continuous rigid frame aqueduct has great significance for ensuring the seismic safety. In the dissertation, the seicmic response of the long span continuous rigid frame aqueduct with high piers is studied. The contens are as the following.1. On the basis of summarizing continuous rigid frame aqueduct seismic research, finite element models are established respectively for the program of the Jiaojia Aqueduct. the linear seismic response is calculated by response spectrum and time history method, and the seismic response of the aqueduct with the two different methods are compared. The summary of the seicmic response of continuous rigid frame aqueduct in the longitude and transverse aqueduct can provide more guidances for the seicmic design of continuous rigid frame aqueduct.2. Calculating the force of aqueduct under different speed of earthquake waves is analysed. In this study, the contrast of the multpiont excitation to uniform excitation, the travelling-wave effect of earthquake about the continuous rigid frame aqueduct can’t be ignored.3. There are more and more different height of continuous rigid frame aqueducts with the rapid development of water conservancy projects. The force of aqueduct with different heights is summarized. The seismic responses of earthquake benefit to the the internal force of aqueduct with height in a certain range from 60 meters to 75 meters.4.Adopting fiber element model, the nonlinear seismic responses eismic responses along the longitudinal and transverse bridge is analyzed by the nonlinear dynamic time-history method, and characteristics of the nonlinear seismic response considers the vertical seismic ground motions is analyzed.
