This paper has taken the Compound earth pressure blance shield machine cutterhead used in the construction of section D10-TA06 of Nanjing Metro Line 10 as its subject to make a series of studies on the adaptability of geological conditions and the cutterhead aperture ratio, the calculation of cutterhead torque and shield thrust, the design and optimization and anysis of cutterhead, and other relevant technologies.Firstly, a numerical simulation method which studies the adaptability of geological conditions and the cutterhead aperture ratio has been proposed according to the secion of geology condition and elaborate the numerical simulation scheme, the simulation system is constructed and its correctness has been verified through the actual monitored data. The aperture ratio of 32% is determined for the next step of the cutterhead structure design combined with the calculation and analysis of the theory of aperture ratio.Secondly, according to the secion of geology condition, the design process of the Compound EPB shield cutterhead structure is put forward. And then, calculate and analyse key parameters of cutterhead structure, determine the number and position laylout of various types of cutter and draw its position chart in Matlab software and build its 3D entity model using Pro/E software.Then, based on analysis and research of the Compound EPB shield cutterhead generation mechanism and elements of cutterhead torque and shield thrust, the corresponding theoretical calculation formulae model are dedueced. The correctness of theoretical model has been verified through the comparison of the Engineer measured data, and apply them to calculate the thurst and torque of the actual section.Finally, the cutterhead structure is optimized by multi-objective optimization in the Workbench, Using analytic hierarchy process selects Pareto solutions. And further, by using the orthogonal experimental method to study the main corbel structure parameters, the influence cutterhead circle working intensity factor primary and secondary order has been determined, the order:corbel angel>corbel horizontal length>corbel wall thickness.Based on the application and research of the cutterhead design, we can design the cutterhead structure used in Nanjing Metro Line 10 and verify the correctness of the research results, which promotes the pace of the localization and industrialization of the cutterhead structure design of the Compound EPB.
