Hybrid gas thrust bearing is a new type of bearing based on hydrodynamic bearing and hydrostatic bearing.For static pressure spiral groove thrust bearing, the design method based on dynamic pressure spiral groove thrust bearing is not fully play to bearing capacity, therefore, need to study of the structure parameters,to improve its carrying capacity.To study the characteristics of hybrid gas thrust bearing on its load-bearing characteristics, using ring surface throttling of the static pressure air supply way, Papers in the existing dynamic pressure spiral groove thrust bearing structure design theory, on the basis of orthogonal test method to test and the thrust bearing groove width ratio, groove depth ratio and slot length ratio, helix Angle, channel number, diameter of stomatic distribution for six structure parameters, such as group, orthogonal collocation, get25groups of physical structure model of dynamic and static pressure spiral groove bearings. And using FLUENT software to establish simulation model for static pressure spiral groove thrust bearings, bearing characteristics of each model were studied. Then, using the orthogonal table bearing characteristics of the simulation results are further analyzed. Finally, obtained with various parameters change, the change regularity of bearing capacity and the orthogonal experiment and the optimal simulation model.Numerical simulation calculation, the paper adopted a way of joint face to establish method for static pressure spiral groove bearing gas film. This kind of modeling method by adopting the method of system modeling and mesh, through integration of the joint surface to ensure the continuity of the model. This kind of modeling method on modalities facet model is very effective, to save a lot of modeling work, at the same time improve the speed of computer calculating model, and also save the time.Finally, the simulation and experiment comparison on different modeling methods, verify the correctness of the model. Change held several orthogonal experiment analysis, experimental condition was obtained under the condition of different static pressure spiral groove thrust bearing the influence of different parameters on the bearing performance. The above research results provide the parameters of dynamic and static pressure thrust bearing and the change of the load-bearing characteristics curve, and the simulation model of optimization for the structure of dynamic and static pressure thrust bearing of the same type selection and design provides a certain reference.
