As an important part of engine shafting, torsional vibration damper is a key component in the system of shafting vibration reduction. It used to reduce the amplitude of the crankshaft by its damping. Because of silicone-oil damper have simple structure and have good damping, and widely used in shafting vibration reduction of diesel engine. The effect of vibration reduction for silicone-oil damper, it depends on the damper with good matching of the crankshaft system and the design and manufacturing level of silicone-oil damper. Nowadays, the process of design silicone-oil damper in our country is that according to the machine layout and structure of the crankshaft put forward the shape dimension of the damper and the crankshaft torsional vibration amplitude control indicators by engine manufacturing enterprises, then the silicone-oil damper was designed and manufactured by damper manufacturers, at last the damper was examined on the engine test. A large number of engine test spent a lot of resources. Therefore, research on quick inspection system of damper reliability, there is great significance to reduce the cost and save energy.According to the specification of reliability test and the theory of strength, and through the analysis of the fatigue life of silicone-oil damper under general conditions, the paper designed the enhancement test of the silicone-oil damper. And analysis the relation of damage which the silicone damper in general conditions and in enhancement test. Finally the paper reaches the method and results for computing enhancement coefficient. The main contents are as follows:1. Analysis the silicone-oil damper reliability failure mechanisms base on the working principle and relation of the working process stress. Then the paper concluded that the silicone-oil damper working in the impact load of the torsional vibration, and find the biggest stress which is influence on its life.2. In this paper, the limited life design, infinite life design and damage tolerance fatigue life design was compared. Then the paper combined with combined with damper Working principle and failure mechanism, concluded that the method of analysis reliability for silicone-oil damper.3. According to testing engine torsional researched the stress of general condition and load time history. Then obtained s-n curve of silicone-oil damper by the material handbook. Finally estimated the life of silicone-oil damper and calculate the equivalent damage.4. Design the working conditions of enhancement based on the general condition. Then through calculating the curve of stress and strain and curve of material strain life, get the life in enhancement condition and calculate the enhancement coefficient.
