Research On Urban Land Development And Utilization Mode Based On TOD

With the challenge of urbanism and motorization, a lot of planning experts and scholars are beginning to realize that solutions must be found to control the trend and to avoid the development of urban sprawl repeating the mistakes of western countries. Research on Transit Oriented Development and urban land use become a hot spot.The concept and background of TOD will be explained to help deepen understanding and awareness. Influence of urban land use on urban transportation and urban transport development on urban land use, interaction between optimization and integration of urban transportation and urban land use are researched deeply to analyse interaction of urban transportation and urban land use.On the basis of public transport oriented urban spatial expansion and land development, the paper will research on public transport oriented urban spatial structure and area of land development patterns and detailed design of land development community. Then, it gives some example to analyse.There are many obstacles to the implementation of TOD in chinese city in aspects of concepts and policies, institution and organizational setup, urban and transport planning. Some suggestions are given for the actual situation in our country. It includes concept system, management, investment and financing. Shenzhen Metro is analysed as an example because of TOD land use patterns in China.
