| Retaining structure in deep excavation by itself has a three-dimensional feature, while the traditional design of deep excavation structure is based on two-dimensional plane strain theory, the spatial and temporal effects are always ignored. It is safe to do the design and calculation of retaining structure by using traditional Coulomb or Rankine soil pressure theory. Therefore it is necessary to consider the spatial effect. The spatial effects of foundation pit were considered based on some simplified calculation theory on retaining structure. The spatial distribution of soil pressure on the retaining structure could be solved out according to spatial displacement of foundation pit measured actually or controlling space displacement curve. The design method for retaining structure in considering spatial effect was established. The concept of utilization factor of soil pressure was proposed and calculation method of utilization factor of soil pressure was established on the basis of conventional design methods on deep foundation pit of plane strain theory. The space curve form of horizontal displacement of the top beam was proposed by analysis of the actual force, and thus spatial distribution of utilization factor of soil pressure can be obtained. Practical examples show that the assumption is reasonable which offers theoretical basis for design and calculation of spatial effect of deep foundation pit.Through practical examples of double-row-pile retaining projects, Computation that calculation method of utilization factor of soil pressure proposed is feasible by the results of applying the calculation method in considering spatial effect, and the assumption mentioned is rational and the calculation method is applicable. |
