The foundation pit engineering is one of the significant components in modernproject. Nowadays, since the building are becoming more and more higher andbigger, the supporting structure, featured with new and economic features, hasbecome the key point in researches, only by the premise of stable warrant of thefoundation pit engineering. The retaining structure with double-row piles, as a newtype of supporting structure occurred in1900, have certain advantages includes greatdepth, easier earth excavation and short-term project. At present, mature specificationand relative design approaches are yet established for the retaining structure withdouble-row piles. There is no synthetically and deepen research toward theperspective of stress mechanism and working status in the retaining structure withdouble-row piles structure. This thesis takes the foundation pit engineering in port,and it tend to make specific research of the retaining structure with double-row pileson the research review. The significance and methodology of the research as fellow:1) this thesis adopted the model test of indoor earthwork, and designed thephysical model of the retaining structure with double-row piles. Structural variantsoccurred under the circumstance of excavation will be the major consideration for thetest. The test also analyzed the modeling test with the retaining structure withdouble-row piles structure for three different well array spacing and normally spacing.It measured the displacement of the former and later piles respectively, and analyzedthe influential regulation of varied spacing towards the displacement of the retainingstructure with double-row piles structure.2) The thesis concluded the key points of the finite element calculation duringthe establishment of constitutive model and the contact algorithm. It made numericalsimulation toward the retaining structure with double-row piles structure via ANSYS,and made the comparative research between the physical model and the mathematicalmodel in accordance with the deformation law, therefore, to verify the rationality ofthe mathematical model.3) This thesis analyzed the mechanism of the retaining structure with double-rowpiles structure under different influential features, and lead to the deformation trend ofvaried row distance. This paper also made specific analysis about the reason in theperspective of earth pressure distribution and the soil arching effect respectively, andrelative conclusions can provide references for similar project.
