Reflection On Typical Eco-city Construction In China

In the current context of rapid urbanization, China's eco-city construction is facing sevice eco-environmental challenges. It is still at the preliminary stage of exploration and practice. China's eco-city constructions have their own characteristics, which policy context is different from other countries. This paper tries to make objective analysis on the gain and loss of China's eco-city construction trends and explore the measures suitable for local conditions.Specifically, this paper made research from the following three aspects:First aspect is the case study on typical eco-city constructions, mainly in chapter II, chapter III and IV. In chapter II this paper made analyses of background, objectives, measures and implementation effects to tease out the foreign eco-city construction experience, in chapter III made studies of China's rapid urbanization process and its resources and environmental issues to explore how to deal with the relationship between them correctly, and in chapter IV made summaries of problems in China's eco-city construction and made comparative analysis on background, content and practice activities of domestic and international eco-city construction.Second aspect is the reflection on China's typical eco-city construction, include Chapter V in which this paper made analyses on problems as comprehensive ecosystem in urban construction and location, eco-city construction plans of more but the really maintain implementation of less, slogan-type more but operable-type less, administrative measures of more but multi-combined with the existing planning system or legal support of less, and then made reflection on the reasons leading action deviated from the idea.Third aspect is to seek the methods of eco-city construction suitable for China's national conditions, including Chapter VI which explored reasonable measures suitable for local conditions from the acpects as goal-setting, appropriate technology choices, practice regulation, policy support and implementation of feedback effective in order to give some guidence to China's eco-city construction, in particular to solve practical problems.
