With the development of industrial technology, more and more equipment need higher power quality, however, many non-linear loads, power electronic equipment, so the power quality monitoring becomes extremely important. The article described the relative monitoring theory, methods, equipment in such a background. Based on reading of a lot of literature, the power quality monitoring terminal and monitoring center were designed.First of all, the causes, solution, international and domestic standards of power quality problems are discussed in this article. The power quality problems were divided into two categories of steady-state and transient, for steady-state power quality problems, the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) method was used to analyzed, and it was achieved in the DSP microprocessor. For the transient power quality problems, the method of wavelet transform was used to analyzed, and then the simulation diagram were provided.Secondly, on the basis of above-mentioned aspects, an independent analysis of power quality monitoring device was designed, which used the DSP as the core, set of data collection, data processing, results displaying as a whole. By configuring the monitoring terminal, it could use in different occasions. When used to analyze the power quality of power equipments, it was a testing device, it could provide the calculate results to users. When it was used for region meta-analysis of power quality, it was only used to collect data, and then upload the data through the buffer to the monitoring center, where the collected-data was processed.Thirdly, the monitoring center was designed, which use the LABVIEW software as its platform, it only could log on as an administrator, it was able to process the data uploaded by the monitoring terminal. It also has the function of displaying wave, saving data, which facilitate the off-line analysis, last, analysis reports were generated to provide to engineering and technical personnel, as a basis for further analysis.Finally, The system testing data and error analysis were provided, the finished work, unfinished work .In the design, experiments were designed to test the monitor terminal and software which could complete the required functions.
