prominent.People's desire for high-quality urban living environment is in contradiction with the current tense and deformed urban ecology.Urban development often pursues GDP economy,spirit and environmental ecological civilization.With the global public security crisis,climate crisis,environmental crisis,political crisis,economic crisis and humanitarian crisis,as well as the further dismemberment and alienation of human life in the era of intelligence,both the East and the West call for new urban development momentum and the sustainable way of human civilization.This laid a foundation for the new urban design thinking,urban construction and urban development system.This paper introduces the theory of "soft city" and compares the urban design paradigm iteratively from "Urban Renaissance" to "soft city".Then it completes the comparison from the aspects of historical logic,cultural motivation,literature genealogy,theoretical support,viewpoint,value orientation,legal basis,realistic basis,practical guidelines,case deduction and realistic observation The construction of art city system is of methodological significance and strong theoretical innovation.For example,from the two aspects of "artistry" and "artistry",we can sketch the face and characteristics of contemporary art cities;from the three-tier system of government,non-governmental
