With sustained economic growth and social progress, China has become the world's second largest energy consumer. Building energy consumption is one of the largest of the three types of energy consumption in China. Large public building energy consumption per unit area is much higher than domestic consumption, and is the focus of future building energy efficiency. At the forefront of Chinese reform and opening up, with the rapid economic development, building energy consumption of the subtropical region is also rising fast. Building energy saving is imperative and urgent. Implementation of the energy fixed scale and the excess fare system is an important means of solving the problem that large public building energy consumption is too high. However, different regions and different types of large public buildings should have different standards for energy fixed scale. So to establish a scientific prediction model for energy consumption as an important basis for the energy fixed scale is necessary. Therefore, it is necessary to study the characteristics of various regions and types of building energy consumption to find the important factors affecting energy consumption, guide the establishment of energy forecasting model and energy conservation work. This article studies the large office building of subtropical region.In this article, energy simulation software eQUEST is a major research tool. Using the single factor influence study, the significance of multi-factor study and comprehensive evaluation methods,study the characteristics of energy consumption, energy factors and the merits of energy saving. This survey a large number of large office building energy consumption data, building characteristics and the characteristics of air-conditioning system. Based on these data, build a model, and verify the simulation results. This is to ensure the credibility and accuracy of the simulation study.Study found that lighting power density, the form of air conditioning system, interior design parameters, office equipment power density, the number of configuration chiller units, personnel density and the COP of chillers significantly affected the large office building energy consumption of the subtropical region, and is the focus of study of energy consumption prediction model. Lower indoor temperature settings, the number and the capacity of water chiller units, lighting reasonable control, reducing lighting power density, reasonable choice of the new wind indicator, set shading and reasonable choice chiller capacity has a good comprehensive evaluation, suitable for promotion. The large office buildings of the subtropical region can not stick to all kinds of building energy saving technology, while fine and rational design and management can not be ignored.
