Composite material implanted components are widely used in engineering field nowadays, especially in aviation and aerospace. The failure under the shear loads is the focus because of the complex structures. We need experimental study and analysis to ensure the security in engineering.Firstly, the four classical strength theories which include maximum stress theory, maximum strain theory, Tsai-Hill theory and Tsai-Wu thoery are described in detail. Then, using ANSYS finite element analysis software analysised the General composite laminates, the two other composite laminates implanted components by the finite elemen method. The significant affects of the embedded components to the composite materials are conformed.Next, for the purpose of shear load test, the fixtures which could hold the shear loads boundary conditions were designed. The strain sensor layout has been optimized by using the simulation results. We choose the constant load and load step approach to do the shear load experiments. The loads-strain and location-strain graph were drew to analysis the data and confirm the general distribution of the stress and strain. We also obtain the limit load under test conditions and the general buckling point. Finally, We compare the failure mechanism of general composite laminates and composite laminates embedded conponents, and elaborate the principle of the stiffness degradation model. The failure determing method of the composite material embedded components is confirmed at last.
