The hyperboloid loader with rollers is composed of the inner race, the outer race, the cage and the rollers. Both of the inner race and the out race are offset surface of the hyperboloid. The roller, which is cylinder, is in spatial line contact with the inner or outer race each. Torque transmission is delivered by a slipping induced between the rollers and the races due to skewing the rollers. It can be applied in industrial automation machinery,automobile, aviation industry etc. And the loading system can be used with various parts of the test bench, such as all kinds of gear reducer, shaft coupling and clutch.Also it can be used in automotive, marine, loading, mechanical drive used in drag machinery, gearbox, wheel edges reducer and long transmission chain car chassis comprehensive test, as well as the whole of modular test etc. This loader has a broad prospect of application.The contact situation is complicated between the cylindrical rollers and the work races. The inner or outer surface is established by supposing that the inner and the outer races are each in line contact with the cylindrical rollers. On that basis, the geometrical characteristics of the inner and outer surface are analysed and also their 3D geometric models are established. By the contact analysis between the cylindrical rollers and the work races, 3D geometric models of the contact lines are drawled.Kinematic relation and geometric relation between the cylindrical rollers and the inner or outer surfaces are built on the basis of the mechanical model. Through the analysis of sliding rate and strain, the self-locking condition is put forward, and self-locking equation is established. The affect by geometrical parameters of the hyperboloid loader with rollers is analyzed on this basis. The relation between the rated torque and the loading is established based on the kinematic and mechanical analysis. The rated Torque characteristic curve of the hyperboloid loader with rollers is drawled.The contact analysis of the hyperboloid loader with rollers is carried out by using ANSYS software. The simplified principle of the finite element model is provided and the contact strength affected by structural parameter is also analyzed.Finally, based on the MOGA, the multi-objective optimization design of the hyperboloid loader with rollers is finished. The general rule of the structure design of the hyperboloid loader with rollers is put forward. By using MATLAB 2009 for programming, the multi-objective optimization of the hyperboloid loader with rollers is realized.
