Supporting by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, National S&T Major Project, and aircraft manufacturing corporation, in the view of difficulty points for lacking standard and lower efficiency, complicated path planning, lacking common post-processing method of 5-axis NC Machine Tools, the technology of on-line inspection data automatic generation for aircraft structural parts are deeply studied. The main fruits of this paper are as follows:1) Self-adaptive generation of measurement points for aircraft structural parts was studied. Detecting demand of measurement feature, the measuring points'number and their distribution of regular forms and standard of measurement points'generation for aircraft structural parts were studied. With measurement feature as information carrier, the methmod realized measurement points adaptive generation through dividing regions and constructing the virtual probe. Base on this, the random selection is eliminated and the measuring points quality is insured.2) The method for on-line inspection path planning base on region constraints of feature was presented. In the method, constraint regions are established according to geometric individuals of feature. The path is divided into two categories, one between the regions and the other in the regions, both of which are optimized based on ant colony algorithm and nearest neighbor algorithm respectively. Then the two categories of paths are combined into a complete one. At last, the path planning for on-line measurement was established.3) Post-processing technology of 5-axis NC Machine Tools was studied. Aimed at demands of post-processing algorithm and probe motion for 5-axis NC Machine Tools on-line inspection, structure form of post-processing process based on measurement feature was given. According to Open-end configuring files, the common post-process process was generated, and data support for evaluation was provided.4) The on-line inspection data's automatic generation system based on feature on the CATIA V5 platform was developed, which established the development architecture and functional modules. Now the system has been well applied in one large aviation enterprise.
