In the global advocate of low-carbon, green background, as the level of the best current commercial clean coal combustion technologies, the combustion technology of a circulating fluidized bed boiler is developing in the large-scale, high-parameter direction rapidly. In the past "Eleventh Five-Year" Plan, A 600MW supercritical CFB boiler, the demonstration project of the National Science and Technology Commission and the State Development and Reform Commission has already put on the agenda, and the high-parameter, large-scale circulating fluidized bed boilers in China will have great prospects for development.As the high-grade, large-capacity CFB boiler, such as the designs of a 600MW or 800MW CFB boiler are based on a 300MW CFB boiler with the modular assembly amplification method. Therefore, a 300MW CFB boiler is the critical of a large-scale circulating fluidized bed boiler, and some key issues in the development of the large-scale circulating fluidized bed boiler will also be in the 300MW unit embodies.In order to improve the uniformity of fluidization in a newly developing 300MW CFB boiler unit effectively, reduce the boiler furnace partial abrasion, improve overall service life of heating surface and ensure the operation of the large-scale circulating fluidized bed boiler safely and reliably in a long-period. Shanghai Boiler Works Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as SBWL) and Shanghai Jiao Tong University conducted a research projects of "the characterization of the fludidization and abrasion in the dense phase area of a 300MW CFB boiler furnace".In this paper, the methods of theoretical analysis, cold test and numerical simulation are used to study on the uniformity of fluidization and abrasion in dense phases area of a 300MW CFB boiler deeply. We not only studied the factors impacting of of the uniformity of fluidization in dense phases area of the large bed, and technical measures to control the uniformity of fluidization in dense phases area, and the rational height design in dense and dilute phases area, and also analyzed the basic mechanism of the abrasion generated, and introducted the the existing anti-abrasion methods in this stage, and showed the abrasion Phenomenon in the dense areas through the means of a combination of experimental and numerical analysis, and menthioned new and improved designs based on the anti-abrasion.The contents of this paper promote a great significance of a long-term development as to SBWL, to improve the capacity of 300MW circulating fluidized bed boiler technology development, and to the develop the clean, low-carbon coal-combustion technology, and to enhance the core competitiveness of the enterprise.
