Photovoltaic power generation enjoys development prospects,which is one of the main methods to make use of solar energy. Photovoltaic solar array is the core component of this system, the current application of photovoltaic power generation is still mainly a research stage. R & D environment: high-power solar array is very expensive and need large investment; natural conditions, the ongoing changes in solar radiation, leading to the development and testing laboratory is difficult. In order to facilitate laboratory research related technology of photovoltaic power generation, domestic and foreign scholars have proposed the concept of solar array simulators, and testing of prototypes and products developed to simulate the output characteristics of photovoltaic arrays, solar array replacement As photovoltaic power generation technology for the hardware.Paper first reviews the various types of solar array simulators, including the early stage of the analog of the PV array simulator and more of the digital current of photovoltaic array simulator. From the PV array simulator type and principle, summarizes the characteristics of various simulators and applications, that changes or load changes in the environment to raise the output of the simulator accuracy and real-time response speed of theoretical and practical significance.Digital Simulator is the basic principle of photovoltaic PV cells in accordance with reference data model I-V output switching power supply, reference data generated quickly and accurately is the principal means to improve simulator performance. Exponential model error is small at present there is large amount of computation disadvantage, not easy to quickly switch the power required to generate the reference signal. Therefore, we propose a new mathematical model equations photovoltaic cells: three derived particle levels under gravity parabolic trajectory equations to express the output I-V characteristics of photovoltaic cells. On the model data and real data error analysis, the results show that the new model can meet the requirements of engineering precision; its computation, make up a large amount of traditional index model shortcomings. Second is to improve the traditional load operating point tracking algorithm, based on the new model does not contain index computation and is an explicit function of the characteristics of R derived load current Iref and the load operating point of the functional relation R, for the PV array simulator Faster the controller to provide accurate reference signal, and design a solar array simulator to verify the correctness of the model and algorithm.By MATLAB / SIMULINK environment designed for the digital simulation of photovoltaic array simulator to prove the feasibility of the preliminary work, in order to further verify the battery model and improved algorithm for digital performance of photovoltaic array simulator results , This loop with real-time RT-LAB simulation platform for the experiment, the experimental part of the main circuit to achieve with hardware, the control part of the RT-LAB Real-time simulator model implementation. The results show that: the number of PV array simulator to complete its simulation capabilities, and has a good dynamic performance.
