Ecological Strategy Research On Plant-embedded Curtain Wall

Three-dimensional landscaping design in traditional sense in construction field is mainly realized by growing plants on roof and surrounding walls. The biggest weak point is that three-dimensional landscaping in this manner can't meet the requirement for daily maintenance of the building. The plant-embedded curtain wall put forward in this article adopts the techniques of curtain wall to embed containers of plants into curtain wall. Daily maintenance can be made easily. This kind of curtain wall is called a new-type ecological curtain wall.From the perspective of ecological strategy, the author devotes to research on the influence of plant-embedded curtain wall upon on the micro-climate environment of the building and surrounding environment. Contents in this research include three parts: ecological research, technological research and ecological design strategy research on plant-embedded curtain wall.Ecological research on plant-embedded curtain wall includes two aspects: basis research on thermal function, and evaluation on ecological function. Through collection of test data, mathematical model is set up to make analysis, testifying that plants embedded in curtain wall can not only meet requirements on various kinds of functions, but also is energy-saving and environmentally-friendly in nature. Significant financial benefit, environment benefit and social benefit can be achieved.Technological research is carried out from two aspects: design of building structure and ecological suitability of the plants. In-depth research on node structure of the curtain wall can draw a big sketch to provide convenience for construction, save energy and improve efficiency. In the meantime, specific requirements are put forward on selection of plants of curtain wall. Research on strategy of ecological design can further indicate that plant-embedded curtain wall is an excellent product that can save energy, reduce emission, show scientific innovation, and meet the strategic requirements of low-carbon economy fashionable in the whole world.
