Research On The High Voltage Dc Power Supply Of Electron Linear Accelerator

With the development of national economic and improvement of the productivity electron linear accelerator applied for irradiation is widely demanded. However the ones with high power need to be imported, while domestic factories can only produce the low power electron linear accelerator. Because of this we decide to research on the high power electron linear accelerator. The high voltage DC power supply as the major part of electron linear accelerator studied in the thesis is important to the research of electron linear accelerator.First by comparing with the two schemes with the simulation the last scheme is selected. And the equivalent circuit is established. The character of the equipment is also analyzed in the thesis. In the next air core transformer and multi-winding transformer voltage-multiplying rectifying circuit are studied. In the study the problems with the air core transformer are discussed and the measures to improve are made. For the multi-winding transformer voltage-multiplying rectifying circuit its dynamic process and the effects on the output DC voltage are analyzed.After a series of analysis on the principles and simulations the final design proposal and the main devices are decided. According to the design the prototype of the high voltage DC power supply is made. In the addition after several experiments on the prototype it shows that there are accidents in the prototype and it can't meet the requirement. After analyzing on the accidents and modifying the new prototype is made. And a lager number of experiments are carried and it shows that the prototype meets the main requirements.In sum based on the existing technology and experience and with our analysis and design one prototype of 100KV, 3KW high voltage DC power supply is made. And the experiments shows that it meets the main design requirements. All the work will do good for the next research on the higher voltage and power DC power supply.
