Battery is the power source of the electric cars. Battery manage system (BMS) can improve battery's performance and prolong battery's life by monitoring battery's charge-discharge process. Therefore, the research of BMS is very important.According to the requirement of battery management, using the modular design ideas, this paper divides the BMS software into several functional modules. The main functions include data collecting, SOC estimating, internet communicating, output curve drawing and so on. The internet communication function makes it convenient for users and researchers to monitor battery's charge-discharge process in a different place. The drawing function contributes to data analysis for researchers. The software will be the first to integrate battery's two models into BMS. It provide model select button as well model parameters set boxes, which makes it convenient for users and researchers to choose battery's model and adjust the module parameters accordingly. The essay presents a model verification method the first time. Then it uses the method and BMS software to do module assessing experiment and achieves good experiment results.After the debugging of the software, with the existed battery pack experiment platform, the BMS software is used to monitor the charge-discharge process. Its functions are achieved. SOC curve is observed in the window of drawing. As well, the software is used to assessing the battery module by the introduced assessing method. The two model's theory voltage output and the actual voltage output are compared by using the software. These applications of the software mean that the BMS software not only achieves the expected design target, but also helps researcher to analysis data by its original design.
