Metal surface sandwich, is a kind of new building insulation material. It has advantages of high strength, good resistance, sound insulation, heat insulation, waterproof, vibration isolation, good damping and fire resistance, easy to large industrialized production, maintenance cost, and can produce economic benefits.Now, the formula of the bearing capacity of the sandwich board design is still on the basis of practice and experience, it has greatly affected metal surface sandwich application. This paper based on 48 different face sandwich board bending test, through finite element software to unify the formula of bending strength. The first part of the paper is mainly on the unification research, and including the following contents: (1) The 48 sandwich bending test, and 27 material performance test, get the rock wool, glass wool, polyurethane core material performance, as well as the basic bearing capacity of sandwich. (2) The formula of bearing capacity considers the sandwich board of bending deformation and shear deformation, As to rock wool, glass wool, and polyurethane, itself elastic modulus is small, only considers the stiffness of the panel provides, without considering the stiffness of the core material itself. As for the straw core material because of its elastic modulus is large, in calculation we also considers the stiffness of the core material itself. (3) Through the finite element method, that the main parameters in the test--the shear distribution coefficient for unification of the model mainly depending on the thickness of the panel and the thickness of the surface panel. So in the model of the ABAQUS, we set up different of thickness of panel and different of thickness of surface panel. (4) Considering stainless steel panel itself bonding undesirable reasons, especially in the roof, so the model steel roof when considering the influence of bonding damage, introduced the concept of cohesive unit, and the binder ideal result was obtained. (5) Compare the test results with the calculation of the formula, and the calculation results with the simulation results. Verify the feasibility of the formula.The second part of the paper is mainly on the fire resistant of the sandwich, and mainly contents: (1) Research of the sandwich insulation performance, through finite element method, we obtain the resistance test value of the sandwich with the core of rock wool or EPS, and compare with the test results. (2) Deduce the formulation of the insulation model of the sandwich through finite element method. (3) Research of the bearing capacity of the sandwich under fire, mainly through the simulation of finite element method, and get the resistant value of the sandwich controlled by the deformation. And gives the concept of suspension cable, the paper deduce the fire cases sandwich deformation of simple calculation formula, and compared with the result of simulation and verify the feasibility. (4) Compare the resistant limit value of the sandwich controlled by the heat insulation and the stability. We can see sandwich refractory limits mainly decided by heat insulation.
