Hydrogen has become a hot research field at home and abroad owing to its notable features, such as abundant resources, large heat value, good combustion performance, non-toxic, non-polluting and various used forms. Although the traditional hydrogen production through water electrolysis could be used for large-scale production, its conversion efficiency still be the key to promote this technology, which has become a hot topic in academic circles.This paper analyzes the way how the key technologies affect to the conversion efficiency of oxy-hydrogen generator from the view of theoretical analysis and practical engineering, and proposes the following measures: Selecting an appropriate electrode material and designing the electrode structure legitimately which likes mesh and porous catalytic electrode, to increase the surface area of electrode as much as possible. The form of welding spot should be relatively uniform and avoids being located on the edge of electrode, which likes triangular and circular solder matrix. The space of solder matrix could be 30~50mm generally. Using an alkaline electrolyte and choosing the appropriate concentration. Designing an appropriate control system and setting its suitable control strategy.In this paper, a model related to conversion efficiency of oxy-hydrogen generator is obtained from experience and experimental results. And the model's parameter can be calculated through theoretical calculation and experimental test. Moreover, 15% NaOH is adopted as the electrolyte of oxy-hydrogen generator by comparison with different concentrations of electrolyte. What's more, the following conclusions based on the conversion efficiency model of oxy-hydrogen generator are concluded from MATLAB's results: In a suitable structure and working parameter, it is helpful to improve the conversion efficiency by increasing the work pressure. In most cases, with the working temperature's increasing, the conversion efficiency can be improved gradually. However, it is harmful to the conversion efficiency to increase the current.Finally, according to the above-mentioned conclusion, the control system based on STC89C52 and its control strategy are designed, so that the oxy-hydrogen generator could be controlled optimally.
