Linear Motor is a novelty motor which can provide linear motion without any medium machine. It has wide expected application and development. Because of many disturbances that linear motor drive system suffers, the system can not meet the requirement of high performance, which affects the promotion of linear motor drive system products. This paper researches on the prediction of variables and identification of parameters which are easily changed during system running. An improve solution is provided. The practisability of this method is validated by simulation in Matlab.Main study of this paper contains:(1) Through analysis of relationship between electricity and magnet in the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Linear Motor (PMLSM) and the mechanical motion situation of PMLSM, this paper deduces PMLSM's mathematical model and varifies its effectiveness in Matlab/Simulink simulation platform.(2) This paper analyzes the priciple and technology of vector control of PMLSM, pointes the advantages of vector control applying in PMLSM drive system. Take vector control as the system control program. Equivalent transfer functions for all the parts of the drive system are deduced. According to structure of linear motor drive system control, mathematical model of current loop, velocity loop and position loop which are composed of the drive system are established. By the mathematical model that has been established, the process and method of parameter tunning in the controller is illustrated, and a simulation is made for the tunning method to verify its practicability.(3) During the process of motion, the magnet linkage of the permanet magnet, the mass, fiction force and load resistence of PMLSM may change easily, which affect the control performence. Recursive expression of permanent linkage is deduced by proper method. By adopting the least sqare method with forgetting factor algorithm, the parameter identification method is deduced and compensation control is provided for better effect. Simulation result shows that the identification method has the advantage of high speed, high precision, and can improve the control performance of linear motor greatly.(4) Hardware design of linear motor drive system is discussed in this paper. Main circuits of the modules are provided, and the anti-noise measurements that need to be cautioned during the hardware design are discussed. At last, software design was fullfilled and the anti-noise measurements that need to be cautioned during software design were discussed.
