Highway traffic safety is a hot issue in all countries,as a barrier facilities of highway, play an important role in highway traffic safety. So,the rational design of highway guardrail is particularly important. Currently used widely is the wave beam guardrail, but because a late start of the structure of the highway guardrail, less vehicle full-scale experiment, lack of experience, parapet design principles and standards development is not perfect, the existing high-speed Highway guardrail structure should to be strengthened in the overall performanceIn this paper, the existing barriers in the form at home and abroad, based on comprehensive analysis of all pros and cons of the use of barrier between the current situation in our country highway conditions, the existing fence around the design principles and norms set for the problem to be solved, Coupled with the structure of some of the design of the fence idea, given the actual situation of a suitable central median barrier in the form of new highways.In the barrier design process, mainly in the form of components selection and design of the overall structure into account two aspects of barrier performance. In order to test the strength of barriers, the use of finite element software ANSYS workbench environment in the design of the barrier for static simulation, and with the analysis of the existing fence structures were compared, differences between observations put forward the advantages of the new fence.In the parapet design and aesthetic aspects of the economic component of the barrier to optimize the choice and gives the barrier structure after optimization, re-simulation analysis, testing strength. Compared before and after optimization results, the performance difference, and strive to design more suitable for the barrier structure of the situation.
