The Research On Landscape Of Donghai Road In Qingdao

As the core of City Image and City Landscape, urban road is the framework of a city which reflects the overall level of the city's political, cultural and economic development. The seaside urban road which mix up functions such as transportaion, inhaitancy and entertainment play a most variable and vivian role to show the unique feature of the whole City Landscape in coastal cities. Due to the lack of deep cognition and research, there are many designing problems of coastal Urban Road Landscape in China and makes the city characteristic of Chinese coastal cities is not obviously.This paper takes Donghai Road of Qingdao as research example for two reasons. First, Donghai Road is a world class coastal boulevard constructed under great attention and support of Chinese Construction Ministry, the landscaping of this road is earlier also relatively successful among similar works nationwide and there are many successful experience is worth using for reference and summarized. Second, benefit from the "Protecting and Developing The Bay" strategy of Qingdao, the landscaping of Donghai road has been taking more and more seriously, it is expectful that research result of this paper could provide some referrence and guaidance for futher development of coastal road lanscaping.Through sorting and analyzing the related theories and combined with the geographical position features of specific Urban Coastal Road Landscape, this paper systemically summarized related concepts, landscape elements, landscape features, space attribute and functional attributes that characterized Urban Coastal Road Landscape. In purpose of provide some referable solutions of specific problems and some implementable ideas of future operation for Donghai Road's landscape design and the coastal roads of other cities'landscape design, the paper analyzied the landscape design situation of Donghai road scientifically and comprehensivly. The analysis that under the basis of investigation and data compilation is from five aspects:road landscape impact factors, road landscape ontology elements, road landscape interface elements, road landscape main elements, road landscape spatio-temporal elements. Also the solutions are under the principles of coastal landscape design and support by relevant theories.
